CLASSES

Essential Tools for Positive Behavior Change
15 hours
Two 8-hour days

Six task-analyzed skills for effective caregiver interactions.  Workshop will be taught via lecture, modeling, role-play and feedback.  Attendees will actively participate in small groups with opportunities to act the role of children, caregivers and trainers while learning the fifteen-hour care-giving curriculum.  Each of six task-analyzed skills will be discussed, practiced and critiqued.  The curriculum is designed for caregivers who will work directly with children to change child behaviors.  Although experience working with caregivers or children will be an asset, it is not mandatory.  The training emphasizes the caregiver’s impact on environmental effects, which impact the child. 

Training Skill and Training Tips
8 hours

Training skills for those who are new to training or want to improve their trainer skills.  This workshop may be taught as a stand alone workshop or specifically for participants who have taken Essential Tools for Positive Behavior Change. 

Tips for Successful Caregiver Training
6 hours

Overview of parenting training with emphasis on seven task-analyzed skills.
